My Work dashboard
The personal /my/work page brings current responsibilities and shortcuts into one configurable view.
Available blocks
- Assigned issues, overdue issues, issues due today, and issues due soon
- Favorite projects and favorite saved issue filters
- Recently visited issues and projects
Administrator rollout
- Open Configure → Appearance → My Work.
- Choose the default visible blocks and their initial order for users who have not saved personal settings. An intentionally empty selection produces an empty dashboard instead of silently restoring all blocks.
- Optionally enable the top-navigation link and select My Work as the global landing page.
- Apply the settings and test with a user who has no saved My Work preferences.
Personalization
Users choose visible blocks and their order. Personal settings override administrator defaults; without a saved valid default, all blocks are enabled. Collapsed state remains local to the current browser.
User workflow
- Open My Work and follow the dashboard settings link, or go directly to
/my/work/settings. - Select the blocks to show and arrange their order, then save. These choices override the administrator default only for the current user.
- On the dashboard, expand or collapse blocks as needed. Collapsed state is stored in the current browser and is not synchronized to another device.
- Use View all to open the normal Redmine issue list or the corresponding favorite/recent list. Redmine visibility filters still apply.
Empty or incomplete blocks
A block can be empty when no matching visible records exist. Deleted projects, inaccessible issues, and no-longer-visible saved queries are omitted rather than shown as broken links.
Entry points
My Work can appear in top navigation, the account area, or as a personal or global post-login landing page.
